Last Breakfast

On the last day we made our final walk toward breakfast at Aailaa. It was a bittersweet moment, we were excited for our trip to India, but at the same time we were sad our time in the Maldives had come to an end.

At the restaurant, the staff had prepared for us a special pancake that had we will miss you written on it . They also took a picture with the two of us. A very sweet and kind gesture. Both my husband and I had our favourite items in the breakfast buffet.

Last Visit To Common Areas

After breakfast, we made our way to the library for one last time. Being a book nerd the library was one of my favorite places, and I returned the books I had borrowed for my duration . We also took some photos of the lobby to keep for our memories.

Relaxing At Our Overwater Bungalow

Back at our overwater bungalow, we relaxed, swam in our pool and packed. We were a bit sad.
We spend about two hours before calling for our shuttle .

Seaplane Ride Out

We checked out and then we had to wait about an hour for our seaplane. The seaplane ride is always very exciting. You can see all the small islands dotted throughout Maldives. Mark, who’s the head of the JW Marriott Maldives was also on the plane so we chatted with him for a while till we landed.

Leaving Male we reflected on what an incredible trip it had been ! Definitely a slice of paradise.
