Breakfast At The Gritti Palace

We considered The Gritti Palace, The Denali and The St.Regis when booking a hotel in Venice . We collect SPG points so these were all options for us ! Tough choices. We ended up choosing the St.Regis because it was brand new !

I still wanted to see the other two hotels given it’s history and how pretty it looked! As such we had breakfast at The Gritti Palace on our first day !

I was still very much in awe of Venice . It is a city that takes your breath away . So once we checked into St.Regis Venice ( this will be a post of its own ! ) we made our way to Gritti Palace .

If you arrive by boat – this is how you will enter . We walked over by foot and used the door in the above photo.

Every time I am at a historical building I am always so great full for the experience. Inside the hotel, it looks like how it might have looked 100 years ago .

We made our way to the restaurant and got a table for two by the water . What a view ! I don’t think one will ever tire of the view . Special mention goes to the roses on the table !! I have never ever seen such pretty colour roses . Ever . I tried to do some research online to see if there was a story to these roses but couldn’t find anything.

The View is simply unbeatable. Perfect place to have a lazy breakfast and people watch . The colour of the roses on our table were very unique. I have never seen roses of this colour .

We had coffee , granola , yogurt , eggs , bacon , toast and orange juice . Everything tasted good . It better for the price we paid !! Food was normal . I guess you pay a certain price for the name and the view . Definitely recommend one meal by the water .
