Last Rome Post !

During our Rome research we came across Borghese Gallery and decided to book a tour for it . It looked very interesting and had a large number of excellent reviews.

We had an early morning tour and the guide did a good job taking us to see multiple paintings and structures and also giving us tons of historic information about the paintings and the artists.

Once the gallery tour was done we did an outside tour of the Borghese estate . This give us a sense of how the wealthy lived in Rome ! This is one of the last surviving estates ( green space ) left in Rome !

From one end of the estate you can look down into a square . We finished our tour and went down to the square, and bought a painting from one of the street vendors.

If we had to do it again we would skip the paid tour of the Borghese Gallery . Instead I would recommend catching an Uber to the view point and self exploring . If interested in the history just google the estate . The art and sculptures inside is not worth the cost of the tickets .

Overall this was a good way to finish off our exploration of Rome !
