Spanish Steps Rome
Spanish steps always comes up when you search for top places to visit in Rome or when you talk to people . We walked over to it one night after dinner .
It is a pretty place . I had always wondered why it was called the Spanish Steps . I found out from google this is because it was built to connect the Spanish embassy to a church at the top of the steps .
It is located in a charming plaza – not very far from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. There are also many designer shops near the steps .
Overall a good area to visit and just wander around . We visited in August. I read, during spring the steps are filled with flowers and are stunning. Maybe will get a chance to see it in spring time in the future .
Also visited the steps during the day time . This was unintentional . Was walking around shopping and came up on to the plaza .
Definitely worth visiting and doesn’t take too much time to see . I would add it on when visiting the Trevi Fountain.
