Tiberina A Roma Review – A Restaurant On An Island
After visiting the Vatican we looked up dining options and decided to have lunch at Sora Lella which is located on a small Island in the middle of Tiber River .
We caught a taxi from the Vatican to this island . When we got to the restaurant, to our disappointment the restaurant was closed for summer holidays. This is what happens when you visit Rome in August.
Since we were hot and hungry we decided to eat at a nearby restaurant on the island called Tiberina A Roma .
The waitress was very friendly and seated us outside. It was a nice day and the restaurant faced an old basilica. As we sat there ordering food, a funeral procession left the church and that made me a bit uncomfortable. So I asked to be moved inside .
The inside was decorated nicely and it was full . We ordered anchovies for appetizer and it was delicious. My favourite dish at this restaurant. We than had Cacio De Pepe and carbonara pasta for main with wine . The dishes were good but not as amazing as the ones at Osteria Dal 1931 .
I wouldn’t recommend taking an Uber to go to this restaurant. If you are in the area definitely a good option.
