Atmosphere

If you live in Toronto you have probably heard of Canoe . It is on the 54 th floor of TD Bank Tower ! As such the views are incredible. Like eating among the clouds .

The architecture and design of the restaurant is also stunning.

Service

Service was so so . For the cost of the experience I don’t expect to wait for anything and I expect warmer service.

The staff was friendly enough but not on top service the way I would expect from a luxury restaurant.

Food

Bread – Nothing special even the fancy looking butter lacked flavour. This seem to be the theme of the evening. They did offer us extra bread but we declined.

Appetizers – I was really hungry and was looking forward to my appetizer of celeriac and goat cheese. It took them a while to get our order . When the food came I was super disappointed with my appetizer. It had no flavours despite having a super fancy description.

Oysters- My significant other has oysters and enjoyed them . Not something he would go back for but decent flavours.

Main – I had the hen . This is an older dish that is sometimes on the menu . This was delicious and I really enjoyed .

My significant other had a pork dish he enjoyed.

Dessert – we tried two type of desserts . A chocolate cake dessert and a honey based cake . Was disappointed with both ! Both desserts were okay . This was the last straw for me . Most restaurants can at least get their dessert right . Desserts should leave you wanting more .

Overall the experience was okay. The views incredible, the food mediocre, and the service mediocre . For the price I would not recommend this experience even for trying once . Just doesn’t seem to be worth the trouble.
