Patois – Caribbean Meets Asian Soul Food
We decided to try Patois . One of the restaurants from Blog TOβs 100 Restaurants In Toronto To Try Before You Die .
If was an excellent decision. The restaurant describes itself as Caribbean Meets Asian Soul Food . I got a more Caribbean vibe than Asian. Which I was happy with since I love my Caribbean dishes .

Reservation
I recommend you make reservations ahead of time . We were able to get a table for two at the bar about an hour before on a Wednesday. However I can see this place getting packed on the weekends.
Drinks
I had coconut and rum and it was excellent. Paired really well with all the dishes . If you enjoy your alcohol definitively go for this option.

Food
They have a seasonal menu and a regular menu . Order from both based on what catches your interest .
We had the Cassava Fries Supreme , doubles with lamp and Jamaican Patty Double Down for appetizer . All were excellent. Well made , fresh and amazing flavours. You can tell these dishes are a creation of pure skill ! Will definitely order them again .

For main course we had the jerk chicken and coleslaw . Again the chicken is a testament to the skill level of the creator. It was well made with sufficient spice level . It was not authentic jerk that you would get at a local Caribbean joint but nevertheless wonderfully made .
I was so excited to eat the chicken and missed taking a photo of it !

Dessert
One of the highlights of the night was the dessert . That is saying a lot given everything was incredibly well made and tasty .
We had something called cookie butter
French toast and it was incredible. I would go back just for the dessert. It was delicious and perfection.
