Tegenungan Water Fall in Ubud, Bali
When I was researching about what to do in Ubud, Tegenungan waterfall kept coming up . So we decided to visit the waterfall.
You would need a car or scooter to get here from Ubud Central area. There is an entrance fee to visit the falls . There are also souvenir shops and restaurants on the way to the water fall.
You need to climb down about 160 steps to get to the waterfall. It can be hard on your knees if you are not used to it . There are spots along the steps to relax and catch your breath . The path is also surrounded by a garden , beautiful views of the fall below and photo spots such as bird cages etc .
Once you reach the bottom, you have to walk over rocks to get from one side of the fall to the other . There is a swing on the other side that you can go on for a fee.
You can also swim in the falls . Unfortunately the day we visited the falls were a brown colour so we avoided the swim .
The tricky part is climbing back up the steps . It will be hot and it will stress your legs . For your trouble you should stop at one of the restaurants at the top and get a coconut to drink and watch the falls from the restaurant!
Overall a fun experience . If you are short on time you can skip the falls !
