Tanah Lot Temple
Tanah Lot Temple was one of the temples we choose to visit on our tour of Bali Temples . Main reason for picking this temple is its unique location. This temple is built on a mini island in the sea . You can only crossover to the temple during low tide . During high tide water fills up and you can’t get to the temple by land !
Tanah Lot Temple
The temple on the island is locked up and not accessible for tourists . At the bottom of the temple there are priests available that will bless you for a fee ( like almost everything else in Bali ). There is not much to do other than cross over to the temple , get blessed by the priest and see the ocean .
There are also many smaller temples and an interesting rock formation near by . Worth walking around and exploring.
Similar to other tourist attractions there are many souvenir shops and restaurants near the temple .
We were in Nusa Dua and this temple was at least a two hour drive for us . I wouldn’t spend that much time on transportation if I had to do it again . Especially given you can’t go inside the temple. Overall still an interesting temple to visit.
