Serangoon Road – Little India, Singapore
One of the most interesting places you can explore in Singapore is Serangoon Road in Little India.
You can get here using the subway .
I have never been to India but I imagine this place is very similar.
It is filled with people , stores and restaurants.
I would recommend visiting in the day time and at night if you have the time .
When we went it was near Deepavali as such Serangoon Road was lit up .
Things to do in Little India :
- Visit a temple (day time )
- Shopping for souvenirs, Indian cloths , accessories (day time )
- Explore the different streets
- Visit Mustafa Centre – 24 hour huge discount store
- Buy gold – Singapore has some of the best quality gold in the world
- Have a meal or two at restaurants – many places to eat . We checked google reviews to find a place that we felt comfortable eating at .
Avoid :
- Tekka Center for eating- It is one of the less clean Hawker stands we visited
- Abirami Gold Jewelry Store – High prices and hidden fees
Overall a unique place in Singapore and definitely worth it as a stop on your trip !
