Might be on my way to Panama soon . Decided to spend this Friday evening holed up at chapters planning what can be done in Panama.

Panama City

1. Visit Mercado de Mariscos – Famous market

2. A day or half day trip to Baru Volcano ( Chiriqui Highlands ) – Volcan Baru National Park . Rainforest with bamboo gardens , orchids and bromeliads . Coffee plantations .

3. Visit the Canal and take the rail line that runs parallel to it .

4 . Visit Miraflores Locks – To get a sense of the engineering feat that is the Panama Canal . This one seems to be the closest to the city .

5. Walk along Amador Causeway – This is Panama City’s walkway . Always worth exploring the beach front walkway of a city to get a sense of the city .

6. If Volcano is too far another option to see rain forests is Soberania National Park.
