When you do the Ring Road drive there are not many attractions between Höfn till near Myvatn . There are smaller towns but not many specific attractions.

However this is the most beautiful part of the Ring Road (to me). Snow capped towering mountains, beautiful shore line cliffs and stunningly calm water across green mountains.

Do make many safe stops and try to capture the beauty in photo and videos .

Initially I was a bit worried about driving this stretch . No need to be – the drive is manageable and never too steep . There is about a 15 minute stretch that is on gravel – again this is manageable with a 2W drive .
