On my last evening in Charleston I drove 30 minuets to visit Folly Island . I simply wanted to visit a beach before heading back to my landlocked province !

I love all the islands along the coast of South Carolina. Folly Island did not disappoint! It’s a charming beach town with a beautiful beach , surf shops and restaurants!

Since I only had about two hours, so I walked along the beach , checked out the pier and watched the surfers .

There are rows of beach houses along the beach . One day – I hope to stay in such a house .

After strolling along the beach ended up at Rita’s Seaside Grill for lunch . This place had great reviews. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant but not so much the food . Oh well – got to find a better place next time .

Recommend Folly Beach if you are in Charleston and need a beach day !
