Most cities have a building that is used to identify the city  or that comes to people’s mind when they think of that city . Paris has the Eifel Tower , Toronto has the CN Tower and Barcelona has the Sagrada Familia .

Sagrada Familia is a church that was designed by Gaudi ( Barcelona’s most famous architect ) and he was in the process of building it when he was tragically killed.  To this day the construction of the church continues based on the model build by Gaudi !

Towers Sagrada Familia – Nativity Façade or Passion Façade?

The basic ticket gives you access to the church and all the amazing details inside the church . There are two towers in that church that you can go up to see the city views. You go up using the elevator and you need to take stairs to come down.

Personally – I didn’t find the views from the towers to be interesting and I normally like tall buildings! You are not missing much if you skip the towers. If you do want to go – either tower is fine ! No need to worry about which one to pick.

Must do?

Definitely a must do ! This is probably Gaudi’s best work ! The amount of details he puts into each of his work and his combination of imagination and functionality is incredible! In my view Gaudi defines Barcelona!
